Cut out Butter, Use Olive Oil

by Jason on November 10, 2010

Making one simple change in your diet can guarantee you bigger results in your overall health.  Recently I’ve made the switch to a butter and margarine free lifestyle to quality olive oil in all of my cooking.  I’ve noticed that the dishes I prepare don’t necessarily make too much of an impact on the taste of the food (although everyone loves the richness of a butter flavored meal!). But using good quality olive oil to season meat and prep a pan for cooking is a big lifestyle hack in the kitchen.

Olive oil has some of the best nutritional values known to man. It can even be consumed directly from the fruit.  The mono-saturated fatty acids and antioxidant properties far outweigh the indulgence of a butter heavy dish.  Olive oil helps control bad (LDL) cholesterol levels and raises good (HDL) cholesterol levels. It’s basically the cure-all oil that you should be using.

Go ahead and make the switch today. Your body will thank you for a longer, healthy life.
